Working for straight minimum wage while other similar jobs in the area pay more Was lied to about hours in the interview. I was told that I would easily be able to work at least 25 hours per week and up to 40 depending on the schedule that week. The manager overhired for the seasonal position and I never once received upwards of 25 hours. I actually only worked 25 hours in a week once and got probably half of my hours from covering other people's shifts because everyone would only get scheduled three times a week for five hours shifts. This was understandably very frustrating for all of the seasonal workers and people were generally unhappy with how that was handled.
