      Pros

      Learned many administrative, business and management skills. Facility was nice to use when you could take a moment away. Made many lifelong friends.

      Cons

      General managers make or break your experience as a department manager. Expectation to always be working and in club 6 days a week like they are is unrealistic and stress inducing. 60-70 hour weeks is something they brag about (GRIT award). No life outside of lifetime.

      Pros

      Free gym membership. Some sales experience and customer service experience.

      Cons

      -hours are terrible. I’m all over. I do a close right into a morning shift -16 an hour even though I have a degree and 5 years of customer service experience already since I worked through college.

      Not paid fairly for work performed, used to be compensated on a commission basis: $X.XX or % per head in a class. Now, that has gone away, leaving zero incentive for improvement or growing class sizes. Further, they provide apparently minimal training to management on effective professional communication and business basics like P&L, utilization rates, revenue v. profit, etc.
