Pros

-Don't have to declare tips -Employee discount at LifeSpa, LifeCafe, LifeShop, Lifetime Academy's certification programs, and discounts with personal trainers and Pilates instructors -Free Lifetime membership -Can build connections with people from corporate (well at least at the location I work at) -Food is delicious and a little pricey which can usually increase the tip percentage -You can make decent money when you work for clubroom/diamond room events, because you get an automatic gratuity tip from it.

Cons

-Not a consistent amount of income in tips -Don't always have bartender and it sucks if you're a server who doesn't know how to bartend -Servers don't get much alcohol training -Have to bus the Cafe's dirty tables, on top of your own tables -Sometimes you don't get anyone in your section for 2.5 hours

Pros

Free membership. The clothing we got to wear was more relaxed than a lot of salons. It wasn't all black.

Cons

Horrible management. Very unorganized and unprofessional. The stylist team was extremely clique-y. Went to the point of harassing new employees to encourage them to quit. To top it off there is no break room, you have to walk through people doing cardio to get to the break room for the entire gym. The front desk is constantly screwing up people's schedules. It was a horrible experience and the atmosphere does not promote creativity. The pay was horrible and I caught the management in multiple lies. Manipulative. The stylists are also not knowledgeable in their coloring skills, nor are they up to date on styles. Do not work here...

Pros

Life Time takes chances on young professionals. If you're smart, fast, and driven, you won't find a company that will grow your skills and career faster. For being so large, it's a relatively flat organization, so the opportunities for work in many different areas and levels are exciting.

Cons

Hours can be long. You believe in your work, and most of your co-workers do, too, so it's energizing; but if it isn't for you, there is a big risk of burn out.
