Pros

Good percentage on commission pay but slowly letting all commission installers go to switch to hourly workers or ones at a smaller percentage

Cons

Prior to my hiring they had let go all their installers and after a year and a half they’re doing it again. To me that speaks to poor management.

Great company, bad culture.

Pros

If you can go door to door and set appointments you can get solid bonuses staring at $50 going up to $750 depending on how much you sell. Hourly pay is also good starting at 18 and going up past 20 depending on your performance.

Cons

The culture isn’t the best. A lot of the guys are passive aggressive and sometimes straight up disrespectful. Most of the employees are in a pivotal point in their life and are in the process of getting their life turned around, which I have absolutely no problem with. The problem is the majority of the employees in the canvassing department are in a facility to turn their lives around and there isn’t very many people who are not doing that. With that said the culture is very dependent on the majority of the employees (85-90%) which are changing their life through Human Resources and it tends to affect you because of their current circumstances. Like I said there is absolutely nothing wrong with people trying to get their life together, the problem is that they project a lot of their problems or unresolved issues from their past onto you. So as a result there are very few people that are not having issues like that in their life so the culture is heavily influenced by the majority. I’m happy to see a great company like lifetime helping people get back on their feet, however me personally I have never had issues like that in my life so I don’t work well with those kind of people. I wish the current employees the best in their future but I wouldn’t recommend this job to anyone who doesn’t have thick skin or is good with dealing with those kind of people. Lastly, there isn’t that much upward mobility in the company but they do try and compensate for that with decent bonuses. Lifetime is trying to expand so they are working on upward mobility within the company but as of right now most of the leadership positions are already filled. This leaves you with a decent salary as a canvasser (if you can hustle).
