Pros
Lightbridge Academy of Manasquan is a great place to work! From the moment I interviewed, I felt like a part of the team. My experience was valued greatly and all of my questions were answered. Our Center Director, Assistant Director, and Administrative Assistant were all teachers at one point themselves, and they are always very friendly, helpful, and supportive. They are very accommodating with scheduling and work hard to keep employees happy, well-equipped with needed supplies/materials, and above all else, appreciated. The staff as a whole is professional, courteous, and willing to work as part of a team for the benefit of the children. The Seedlings curriculum is developmentally appropriate and even includes Spanish and American Sign Language! The school-wide weekly themes are engaging for the children and allow teachers to use their creativity to teach the concepts. I love having that freedom! Parents are kept informed of their child's daily activities with the user-friendly app called MomentPath where teachers can record meals, post pictures, and message families. Student progress is also tracked on the app which keeps everything streamlined. The center itself is clean, organized, and well-maintained. Additional perks include one hour lunch daily, monthly pajama days, benefits, and paid time off! If you like working with children and want to love going to work every day, Lightbridge Academy is the place for you! Start where you are comfortable and there's always room for advancement!
Cons
The field, in general, is underpaid.
