Pros

Very little stress when out on the road visiting patients. My center manager and other co-workers are great. I make my own schedule and as long as I set patients up in a timely manner and no one complains, management leaves me alone. Since I take a lot of pride in making sure my patients are well instructed, I don't get complaints. Now that the company is owned by Linde (again) it is financially stable (we think).

Cons

Upper management is clueless about how this company really works at the center level... and I don't think they want to know. Maybe once a year a Region manager or VP will visit the center... but it's a cotton candy visit where they won't get the truth because anyone who is too honest will be retaliated against by the middle managers. They are concerned with there bonus's which are profit based and they get those profits by running the centers so lean that they have constant turn over nationwide. But that's ok with them because for every vacant position, it's money in their pocket. And they just blame the CM anyway even though it is out of there control. The policies and processes at Lincare are an archaic disaster... and cost the company money in the end. AS400? Really? People who complain to upper management lose there jobs and the "yes men/women" move to middle management where they have VERY little oversight. Oh and it's called "Care Check"... makes you think they actually care. It's really about fishing for oxygen by getting the doctor to agree to let Lincare test the patient and if they just barely qualify for the oxygen... they hard sell the doctor AND the patient for a service that they many times do not really need. Pillaging Medicare and then bitching about it when they get audited. Been doing it for years and that is why Medicare is in trouble... because of companies like this. Granted... I work there so I am also to blame. I'd be happy to just provide services to patients who actually need it rather than being forced to BS the patients into accepting equipment they barely qualify for and don't really need.

Pros

Entry level position into healthcare sales industry. Great training that is very well respected & recognized within the industry.

Cons

Extremely high turnover due to company not concerned with employee satisfaction & lowest base salary within industry. Computer system & technology is behind 25+ years which slows productivity & makes everyone's job more cumbersome not too mention the lack of office equipment. There is also a high level of lack of support for each position.

Pros

only pros I have encountered are the relationships I have made with offices and patients

Cons

terrible service, sales reps get blamed for everything, since I've been there communication has been terrible. Reimbursement takes forever so you end up having to use your own money for inservices and mileage, and salary is a joke!!
