When presented with valid market data for my role, I was denied appropriate salary increases 3 times. My manager stated I was being rated a 4, and someone higher up in the management structure always reduced it to a 3. I was told twice to "wait for next year's merit increase" for an appropriate adjustment; after being told this the second time, I gave notice to a shocked manager. How did they replace me? They brought an off-shore consultant on shore for better than twice the rate they paid for this person when off-shore, which ends up being more than they were paying me plus benefits. Go figure...
