Pros

The people at the bottom of the totem pole are actually great people but do not tend to last more than a few months.

Cons

Corporate employees are treated the absolute worst. The turnover rate is unbelievably high because some management should absolutely not be management and unless you are a friend of the family, you will not go anywhere in the company. If you manage to make it to the top of the food chain, your life is golden but if not, prepare to be treated unfairly and paid almost nothing. Company culture is the worst I have ever experienced.

Pros

What that company is capable of doing for people who have different learning skills from the norm - most especially those with learning disabilities, autism, dyslexia, etc. - is amazing. The program is brilliant. Many of the people who work there are in it for the students.

Cons

Nancy funnels money using Gander and then puts terribly unrealistic goals on the centers. She then has the centers micro-managed in a style that Big Brother would consider worthy of applause. Employees are considered tools to dig up more money and nothing more.

Pros

A chance to help individuals navigate obstacles and challenges to learning and life. Lots of client interaction and the chance to really see a change happening because of your's and your colleague's efforts.

Cons

Poor managers. Unprofessional managers run rampant in the company and remain unchecked if they can keep numbers at a reasonable level or blame someone else for why they're not. Disingenuous and unpredictable, they can make working at this company a very sad experience. Purportedly altruistic and focused on bringing the magic of learning to those who need it, this is a very for-profit company that charges thousands of dollars a week (and pays its employees very little) and constantly keeps their employees in fear of budget-balancing pay cuts while making their instruction available to only the most wealthy and people who have the ability to sue school districts for funds.
