The wages paid are not fair to teachers. They see a tiny fraction of the rate being charged. In the big picture however, this company's culture and integrity have steadily gone downhill ever since the introduction of Lindamood-Bell Academy, one part vanity project and one part money grab. Teachers (and parents), RUN! These clowns are charging an arm and a leg to give students a sub-standard education, and teachers an unstable, unprofessional work environment. Behind the scenes, this operation is a MESS, and things got much worse after they restructured during the 2024-2025 school year. Working here as someone who previously taught in the classroom increasingly felt like educational malpractice. The lesson plans often don't actually get updated on time, forcing ineffective improvisation far more often than they'll admit, and the poor learning disabled students don't know the difference so they're happy to skate by. When plans do get updated, they're next to useless, because the company is trying to cobble together all these different curricula and pedagogical approaches with no clear guidance or comprehensive curriculum maps from anybody who actually knows what they're talking about. The blind are leading the blind, from the useless "Curriculum Advisors" who check boxes by giving generic advice, all the way down to the unqualified "Consultants" in their twenties with no relevant background other than having some adjacent experience administering the intervention programs and knowing the words to say in meetings. Projects and papers aren't graded by the corporate-level grading team for months, making it impossible to align instruction with differentiated needs accordingly. The buck doesn't seem to stop with anyone except the person writing the checks, so they people-please clients to a fault while writing enough reports to make it look like robust education is occurring. I've seen too many decisions driven by profit over data. It's not a healthy place to work for the long term -- there's a reason so many employees are young.
