It's rewarding to work in an environment where you can really see the progress you're helping the students make, and you gain patience, creativity and resilience skills.

Cons

The clients are often difficult, especially if you are not trained in working with people with autism or other disorders. It requires a lot of patience, flexibility, and potentially little hours.

Seeing clients make progress in their reading is one of the best things about the job. Management was competent and scheduling pretty flexible.

Cons

The position that I held was part-time, and the salary could have been a bit more competitive. Some clients can be challenging.
