Pros

If you have a good Manager, it is great! You will challenged. Unlimited PTO

Cons

Remote employers are at disadvantage. Growth is limited, you’d have to take on more work than just your job, meaning take other jobs (leads in ERGs or product champions) to grow and will not pay you more for that, you’ will need to work way more hours than you “have” to. They feel they are inventing the wheel and will push you to your limits when clients don’t put much effort in their talent needs. Layoffs have become more and more common. Doesn’t matter if you are a top performer, you will be laid off. Don’t overwork! It’s not valued.

Pros

The individual contributors are hands down the best people you'll ever work with. Highly motivated and collaborative and undoubtedly care about you deeply. The benefits are also extremely generous and supportive. The DIBS initiatives also provide a great resource of support for employees.

Cons

The leadership is both toxic and hostile. This stems from legacy LinkedIn employees who are tenured from LinkedIn's golden era. This creates an inequality among new hires who understand the modern challenges of tech sales and are striving to gain real guidance and mentorship. The executive team seems to have a large disconnect between it's new individual contributors and leadership.

Pros

Hybrid work is still flexible

Cons

Culture has taken a major downturn, with the departure of Jeff Weiner, the former CEO, it was just a matter of time. Company communications immediately started to become increasingly corporate and full of fluff instead of inspirational and informational. Now the culture is based off of flimsy metrics that change constantly because no one knows what to measure, leading to tremendous amount of decisions by leadership that leaves everyone scratching their heads. No longer a top tier place, teams used to have a start up vibe years ago, now it's just another corporate husk full of busy work, way too much process that adds no value, and full of people hogging work and not delivering on it thinking it will save them from the layoff machine. Just try to think of the last time LinkedIn actually released something noteworthy to the public and that should give you a clue.
