Pros

As flexpool you get time as much time off as needed and the work hours are from 8am to 4:30pm which is nice. Also the people you work with directly are pleasant and I have met many friends working here which is really the only solid reason I've stayed at this job for the time that I have.

Cons

Low pay, this is to be expected of a contracting company who bids out work, but not to the extent that it is. You do not get benefits unless you are full time, and the middle management is pretty horrendous.

Pros

As a flex pool employee, you can request almost anytime off. Almost no questions asked.

Cons

If you’re not a Full time employee, you don’t have benefits, Flex pool aren’t sure how long any of the projects will last because the Senior Management doesn’t even know or even bother to tell you. I totally agree with the other blogs that has been posted for this company.

Pros

Qualifications for entry level work are not very demanding, but this comes with a cost. Lionbridge offers competitive rates to its customers by hiring less qualified test engineers for less pay. They take it out of YOUR paycheck and resources YOU need to get the job done.

Cons

All employees are hired on as flex-pool to start with. This means no guarantee of steady work and no benefits (no health insurance, dental insurance, retirement matching, etc.). Out of fairness, they will tell you this before you are hired. What they will not emphasize is how rarely they hire on full time employees and even more rarely will you see a leadership promotion available (because that IS the only type of promotion available). Many Lionbridge employees will agree that promotions have not been handed out fairly over the past year. I could go on about the absurd politics and clouded judgment of upper management at the Boise site, but I'm sure that you will read the opinions of others here with REAL disdain for the company. I tend to feel more loyalty to the customer than to Lionbridge.
