Pros

Some flexibility in scheduling, working from home.

Cons

I initially accepted a flexible telecommuting position with this company, thinking it would be the perfect fit to supplement my income. Think again. A 4 hour a day job quickly became a 7 hour a day job, having to respond to emails, study training materials, and be subjected to constant interrogation of you work performance. All of this unpaid, and on your time, as the company did not allow admin time. Shifting guidelines and criteria led to confusion regarding expected goals. In the end, work was terminated with no specific reason given, other than saying ´it was a combination of things, nothing specific´.

Pros

If you work hard and if your performance really shows positive outcomes, then you will be praised and will recieve promotions and more responsibilities. It also depends upon how good you gell with the management in your project.

Cons

Less Pay and more politics as you gain seniority. You'll always have to watch your back.

Pros

You don't have to have experience to start working there. They will train you but the training could be handled better. You can end up working on projects that are really different from one another.

Cons

Expectations can be too high, especially if they don't provide proper training. Work seems to come and go. There isn't any job security. There doesn't seem to be a lot of opportunity for growth. The only growth is if you happen to be a full time employee, but there doesn't seem to be many of those opportunities. I don't know what criteria they use to select people for promotions, but sometimes it completely baffles me.
