Pros

If your a music head like me you'll love the free show perks. Some room for growth depending upon the department. Exposure to real industry experience. Good networking opportunities.

Cons

Cult-like, takes a while to join. No flexibility, long work hours. be prepared to not have a life lol The pay and benefits are embarrassing. minimum wag I went from part-time to full-time so I saw both sides. My experience was a bit rough because I transitioned while 3/4 core staff members resigned/ got fired. Pretty alarming for a newbie. I held LN to such a high standard b4 jumping on board but the flame is much smaller now.:( Formal training has to be like pulling teeth. I learned more from making mistakes because I wasn't taught how to do everything properly. I prefer being ahead of the curve if you know what I mean. Avoid the mistake. i was so excited to learn and work and grow but .. Upper management is fluff. Unfulfilled promises, not hands on, just middle men. All men majority of the time. old outdated ticketing systems and methods of business. You'd think they'd be alot more advanced with technology. Holiday parties/ celebrations are cheap. no end of year review, farewell speeches, bonus, or toast.

It's long hours, not a lot of recognition. Very hard to move up.

Burn and Churn

Pros

The people you work with in the immediate are wonderful. They're funny and kind and there's a good team spirit among your immediate peers. The job is fun, you get to make people's dreams come true helping them meet their favorite artists.

Cons

However, being a part of a larger corporation within the music industry means that you're just a number. Don't try to advance, don't try to make waves, or you will be struck down. In addition, women are not looked at as equal, as the entire company is a boys club. Many people simply exist as part of the "burn and churn" meaning you're replaceable so they burn you out and then find your replacement.
