Pros

Free lunch on weekends and holidays and breakfast options when we have all store meetings

Cons

Management is always pressuring us even though we're non commission. Favoritism Sexism Denying people's transfers out of pettiness No support from management when we need help on the floor They stand around on their phones and huddle while we're struggling with guests on the floor and dont answer walkies when we call for them Trying to get a raise is like pulling teeth Nobody in the company calls guests when something is wrong with their orders ahead of time. When it gets to their delivery date the angry guest will call about their delivery not being received and there will be notes on the account about what happened but no one bothers to call the guest. My manager lied to me and told me the guest services position was going away and a third party company was coming in so i had to go back on the floor when really we were just understaffed

Pros

The schedule was good and OT

Cons

The people... just gonna say when upper management from California come to the stores it’s the worst. They are VERY clicky and political. They act so important and it’s really annoying. There’s a lady that comes who is over all the staging/designs etc. and she is so full of herself.

Pros

-Coworkers were willing to help me and teach me about everything I knew. -Free food on weekends.

Cons

-Micro managed like no other! Several sales managers on the floor constantly questioning our approach to the customers. -I stated in my interview that I was looking for an “intro to sales” position and in response, was told that they technically only offer “intro to sales” positions because it wasn’t commission based. Management was not patient with that, this is my first sales job. Instead of trying to teach/help me grow in areas I was lacking in, they would question me and almost belittle me. -They called me uncommitted, and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything although I was trying my best. -Although I wasn’t being paid on commission, I was told I had to make sure I was “paying for myself to be there” and employment was based on NUMBERS. A HUGE contradiction to the non-commission based approach that is supposed to create a stress free work experience. -I was fired for making a pretty simple mistake and management having me write a statement, left the room to read it, came in and used my own written statement to fire me. Even though I had told them everything previously before writing in the statement. (Long story short) -I was fired nearly 1.5 months into employment. I wasn’t given the chance of 90 days.
