LISC has great benefits and easy hours.

Cons

There is no company culture and the departments are led largely by people who have been there 20+ years. This means there is a lot of power-hoarding and it can be difficult to get promoted.

The mission of LISC isn't all bad, great benefits and better than average pay, the company attempted to show care during the pandemic. Many of us worked from home and early on received additional compensation for our utility bill

Cons

You get burnt out easily. Even the best of the best and most committed of the company get screwed over. You have to hold some strong illusions that things will change by working with banks and big foundations or really just need the money to work here for more than 2 years. Lack of support and specific direction from higher ups. People get tired out from being tossed around like clothes in the wash. No serious bonuses or raises i.e. more along the lines of $3,000 than $10,000
