Pros

Deeply meaningful work and a company full of colleagues who are truly passionate about the organization's mission. Good salaries and benefits, the ability to have work/life balance that counts and great opportunities for learning, professional development, cross functional growth, and just plain interesting, exciting work that creates value in yourself for future opportunities as you gain experience

Cons

A large organization that has the growing pains of legacy systems transition, bureaucracy that can at times stunt creativity and sideline good ideas, relatively flat staffing structure in program offices which can limit opportunities for advancement. Also note that in the current climate, CDFI's such as LISC face very stiff opposition at the federal level, creating some uncertainty.

Pros

Open door policy with my team Projects are fun to work on Remote work offers flexibility Great benefits Opportunity to grow and travel Full benefits 401k, health insurance, FSA, quarterly remote stipend, company credit card

Cons

I’ve had the experience of working for many ppl and coming across many ppl from different departments. There are some people that are very aggressive and assertive when they’re interviewing. Some director(s) are very snobbish when this Director was reading through my resume it was wise of them to grill me bc I did not have a masters while I told her it’s not a requirement or noted in the job post. So be wary of some directors. There are some instances if you notify them of you applying to different Department, they will make sure you don’t get ahead or hired at all and sabotage your application process.
