Pros
National presence and high renown afford interesting opportunities even for local office staff, good salaries and benefits for the nonprofit sector, so many programs and offices staff can always find someone interesting to connect with and learn from, and an awesome mission.
Cons
Complete lack of strategic alignment and clear goals within and across programs, no onboarding and training (but they know it's a big issue and are working on it), excessive bureaucracy that prevents any nimble or efficient innovation, I couldn't tell you how LISC lives out its core values and couldn't even describe the culture since there isn't really anything that seems to weave it all together in spirit or community. Just hired their first COO this year so hopefully that decreases silos and inefficiencies and brings LISC up to speed with its CDFI peers in many ways.
