I joined Localytics because it was, and still is, the hottest company in Boston. Some pros: * Seasoned leaders who have seen the movie. In fact most of our senior leadership has seen a company go public. * Great employees, whether it be amazing product leadership, Boston celebrity engineers, high billing sales reps, or marketers putting on the best events * Great opportunity in the pole position of the fastest growing market of our time

Cons

The #1 con is that a lot of people who should have left a long time ago feel that a grumpy review is their last hurrah. The #2 con is that people listen. The reality is that this is an aggressive market and everybody made some mistakes trying to win it. The bounce back is what counts.

Localytics has a tremendous leadership team, market leading product, and extremely intelligent individuals at every level of the organization that make it both a fun and exciting place to work, where even senior folks are constantly pushing and developing their own skills. The board continues to invest in the team and make it a viable place to build a career.

Cons

In such a rapidly evolving market, there are fluctuations and setbacks. Especially as the company transitions from a startup into an established company, there are changes in process, politics, departmental ownership, things that can make it difficult to navigate the organization internally.

Pros

The pay is fair and you don't work ridiculous hours. The office is in a good spot, the benefits are solid, and some people are very competent.

Cons

There's no mentorship or management training, and this results in often very inexperienced employees managing others with little oversight. Gaslighting, abusive language, and poor behavior are management tactics. The office is alcohol-heavy and very into 'bro culture.'
