Not the best place for your first job out of college

Pros

Great work life balance and different departments that you can do stretch assignments for. Allows you to network with a large amount of people.

Cons

You feel like a small fish in a big pond. Things are old fashioned and quite slow. The average age felt above 50 years old, which is fine, just different culture than you are used to.

Pros

Amazing work-life balance - I was on a 4/10 schedule so I only worked Mon-Thurs and very rarely ever had to work more than 40hrs/week Benefits are great - Competitive vacation time, 401k match/pension plan Stable job and good job security

Cons

Extremely hierarchical - difficult to get anywhere on projects without a manager/director approval, hard to do things as an entry-level Only way to move up is by staying at the company for a very long time Hiring process seems extremely arbitrary and at-times needlessly difficult but at other times far too simplified Pay is not too competitive, lags behind tech salaries
