Pros

The pay is decent for the work being done. Room for growth.

Cons

Too difficult to enter more than one "pro," because most of the "pros" were only accessible to people who had status. Very toxic work environment. Authoritative management. Exclusive privileges. Guarantees made during interviews that never came to fruition. Terrible communication between management and employees. Bad news was always heard from 3rd party, not directly from management. People were very rude even in passing. Worst job experience I've had. Manager refused to speak to people after they put in their 2 weeks.

Pros

Nothing but cons here, hybrid remote makes this job bearable

Cons

Blatant nepotism & favoritism. Respect is not a two-way street. Bullying, hazing, harassment, retaliation, disrespect tolerated from top down, but if you're in a subordinate position and show even a hint of contempt towards a senior you will be reprimanded. I see why people either love/hate the culture here. If you're a favorite (relative/connection of important person) then you are protected by the managers & the culture works for you. If you're the talent they hired with no established connections, you are unprotected. Your talent will not protect you if you are disliked by a senior. This company doesn't hire talent, they hire their friends then appoint them as managers over the genuinely talented populace. Don't believe me? They have pending lawsuits for their problematic culture.

Pros

Cool events in the office sometimes

Cons

They are basically trying to do anything to get people in the door. All of the people I started with were informed of a hybrid schedule and we’re not told differently until day 1 that it would not be hybrid for the first three months, apparently this also includes days where there is a foot of snow on the ground and unsafe to drive. Time is insanely micromanaged (unless you’re a salaried associate there are looser time expectations which is against labor standards). If your time-ins are not consistently on the dot everyday, you will get yelled at. If you come back from lunch a few minutes too late or a few minutes too early, you will be yelled at and asked what you were doing with your time. Can’t respond to a teams message right away? Or a few minutes late to a meeting? You might just have your manager call six times within ten minutes wondering where you are. Feedback seems to be commonly asked for, but with no intention of fixing these things when the feedback is given. Just told “I’m sorry to hear that.” The training program seems well thought out at first, but quickly dissolves into chaos after a couple weeks of being employed for each class that comes in. You’ll see that the benefits are great, but people are not staying at Lockton for a reason.
