Pros

Competitive compensation and fancy titles are easily achieved. Tons of overload work to make a name for yourself.

Cons

COO has been poisoning the company since the board fired the founding CEO. Breaking groups into silos who don't talk, and can't make any decisions without his approval. Took the board 6 months to replace the founding CEO in 2020 at the onset of COVID when they fired him without warning, replacement, or transition plan. These 6 months destroyed the company. This same board is made up of 100% Beazley, who Lodestone is a subsidiary of, and leads to the company operating like an insurance org, not a technology one. The replacement CEO has ignored all cries for help from employees, and promoted the COO, empowering him to tear apart the company. Anyone not falling in line with the COO's old boys club, is ostracized and setup for dismissal. As a result numerous people have left the company, and none of the original leadership is still there, outside of the COO. As people have left, their workloads have just been pushed onto others, with expectations for them to still deliver on their current workload. As people have left, they've been threatened with the non-compete agreement we signed upon hiring (I was one of them), with demands like a 90 day exit plan. Others should know that 1. The RCA is too broad to be enforceable in court, and 2. You don't need to reveal your future employer when you give notice.

Pros

Pay is decent and promotions go to employees designated to be in the club. Work life balance was pretty good until employees started leaving.

Cons

Tons of employees are leaving because of new CEO and COO bad management, and CEO has dismissed every concern brought to him. Some are announced while others aren't. Small company and shrinking, so there is no hiding. They make you sign a horribly aggressive non-compete while hiring, but verbally tell you it's unenforceable. Rumors going around that CEO and COO have been making legal threats about enforcing the apparently now enforceable non-compete when an employee gives notice.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to post this feedback. The happiness and well-being of our family of employees is more important than anything else. It’s never fun to learn that an employee had a bad experience while at Lodestone. Some of the claims posted, however, are simply not true. Lodestone is not shrinking. We have been growing steadily since day 1 and in fact we have grown more than 60% in just the last 6 months. It’s not fair to say that tons of people are leaving. We are well below the industry average turnover rate, and while we would love for everyone to stay here forever, we recognize that personal and professional needs change over time. If anyone wants to make a change for themselves, we’re more than happy to support a successful transition to a new employer. We have never threatened legal action of any kind, regarding a non-compete agreement or otherwise. They are in line with the agreements our competitors use, and they have industry standard terms for non-compete, non-solicit and confidentiality. All of Lodestone management has an open-door policy and we take any / all concerns raised very seriously. Our culture is a huge part of our success and the most critical aspect about how Lodestone does business. One piece of truth in this review - we do have a “club” that gives its members a fast track to growth. The only requirements to be in that club are to do good work, support your fellow employees, and have fun doing it. That club includes every Lodestone employee and we intend to keep it that way. We only wish the anonymous reviewer had voiced their opinions to someone in management prior to departure. Perhaps together we could have avoided this unpleasantness.
