Pros

There was an office, you get what you need to do the job (laptop) parking money, some good perks (especially if you're in Austin)

Cons

The attrition there was WILD and likely still is. How can you possibly make an impact if you're afraid of retaliation or being blindsided. People are getting fired without any feedback all while being micromanaged..... The leadership was AWFUL. I will never work for that leader again. Good riddance.

Pros

Okay salary, good vacation options, some really good engineers. Has an interesting platform that was probably in the top of their league years ago, but it needs a major overhaul by now to compete with the market. Hope you like to write legacy java code...

Cons

Impossible to get anything done involving true innovation due to politics and stupid processes Vista, their owner, doesn't really seem to care about engineering culture. Expect a sales-driven organisation who thinks of the engineers as something expendable something to hide away in a basement somewhere. Some managers (not mentioning any names...) seem to have ended up where they are just by playing politics and knowing the right people, wreaking havoc all over the place.
