Pros

Insurance is fantastic for the person employed, I've never had this good insurance. The people you work with are amazing and you feel like the company is really for you and willing to work with you.

Cons

Pay is minimal but the experience and skills you learn make up for it. When you take into consideration how much the company pays for insurance on our behalf it also doesn't seem that bad. And if it is a problem, you can always grow higher

- Great people working here. They make the job! - Unlimited Vacation - Flexible work Schedule - Awesome workspace - Fair compensation - Manager is Awesome (In my dept.) - Team leaders are Awesome. (In my dept.) - Lots of Freedom and Trust - Skill level of co-workers is great. (Makes me better at what I do)

Cons

- No health benefits for spouse/children - Work content is often boring with bits of excitement. - CEO can be a bit harsh with criticism. - At times, quantity trumps quality - Process for approval is tedious and micro-managed.

Thanks for calling us a startup! I still think of us that way, but it's been so long (23 years!) that few others do. Sorry about the lack of stock options: those are a tool of funded companies that hope to have an IPO or exit. We're here for the long haul, to build a lasting business (so far, so good!). And while I think that bodes well for us as a career option, it doesn't create the kind of exit you need for options, etc. Our goal is pay well enough that we're worth it, with the advantage of predictable compensation, rather than the "low pay and a lottery ticket" model you see in some other startups. I'd be happy to talk more about this at an "Ask Anything" meeting, or if you want to meet. We'll keep working on the communication, too!
