Pros

I've enjoyed working at Long View for these past 2 years. I find it challenging work that offers many opportunities for personal growth. Over the past two years, I've taken these opportunities and become a very senior resource. That wouldn't have been possible at my previous employer or at other technology companies.

Cons

The company is missing some of the formalization that you'd expect. If you want clearly defined responsibilities or paint-by-numbers work, this isn't the place for you.

flexible schedules, location in downtown Denver is nice

Cons

lack of management support and buy-in from individual teams, Canada company that treats their US employees as not as important, salaries are below industry average in the US

Great place but changing fast

Pros

Very soft corporate culture. They respect you and your personal and career needs. Very good benefits and 401k plans. They are flexible when it comes to your individual needs.

Cons

Almost all decision makers are out of Canada and almost all decisions are made by the CEO/founder who never comes in town and doesn't seem to listen to anyone. That dynamic chased away leaders so leadership is very lean.

In 2016, we have implemented a new Internal Communications plan at Long View, after hearing feedback from employees that they wanted to hear more company news, etc. The Internal Communications program allows everyone, regardless of location, to have a voice at Long View.
