Pros

Free lunches (If you work in the office) Nice office space

Cons

Weak and incompetence leadership Undervalue younger consultants; Long View could use their young consultants as their power house. No compensation for overtime/ travel to customer or even travel to different cities or countries Not enough/related training

Pros

Flexible work schedule, decent salary.

Cons

No job security at all. No mater whether you are contractor or fulltime. You will be kicked out of the organization just like that even without trying to find matching roles within the organization.

Pros

Some People Services individuals do a very convincing impression of people who actually care about your career growth. 3 weeks vacation right off the bat (good luck using it though). Having LVS on your resume when applying to other MSPs gives you a convenient in: LVS isn't viewed favourably within the tech community at large. They are fairly understanding and compassionate when life happens, and will try accommodating you within reason.

Cons

They don't care about their client's needs or desires, just take their money. Half your "incentive" vanishes with tax. Low salary. Great for young folks about to default on their SAIT student loans still living at home, unsustainable for much of anyone else. Their clients can and will treat you like punching bags. A "No Regrets" career? Laughable. The work environment at the client site has me going to a $240/hour therapist almost a full year after I left. Management's actions don't align with their words. Lots of creamy fat on top. Useless TSMs. Useless review structure. They call it Career Life Planning. It's a waste of time. Defanged Team Leads too unmotivated to care.

We are extremely saddened to read this review about your time with us. It does sound like you were able to experience how flexible and accommodating we try to be when life happens for our team members, and that we take great care in supporting everyone through life’s events. Unfortunately, it seems that you didn’t experience our Career Life Planning process the way it is intended and that you felt that you were not compensated fairly. As well, we are truly very sorry for the impact you mentioned the client site had on your well-being. Would you be willing to have a conversation with myself and our CEO, Brent Allison so that we can learn more from you and ensure we can prevent another team member from going through anything like this? If so, please give me a call at 403-515-6900 and we would truly appreciate any insight you can bring. Tasha Westerman SVP, People Services
