Pros

I am unable to identify any meaningful positives from my experience working here.

Cons

I would avoid working at Lonza that breeds toxic culture. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company at all. I worked here with high expectations given the company’s reputation, but my experience was deeply disappointing due to poor management practices and a lack of fairness in employee treatment. There appears to be a pattern of inconsistent and subjective performance evaluations. Despite contributing positively, supporting team members, taking initiative, and being recognized for saving critical work. Feedback was often misrepresented or ignored. In some cases, actions that were appreciated were later used against employees in formal documentation. Management lacked transparency and accountability. Concerns raised about workplace behavior and unfair treatment were acknowledged but not addressed meaningfully. Instead, employees who spoke up seemed to face increased scrutiny, negative evaluations. This creates an environment where employees feel discouraged from raising valid concerns. There were also instances of unprofessional and inappropriate behavior that did not appear to be handled adequately, contributing to a stressful and uncomfortable work environment. Collaboration and support were inconsistent, and expectations were often unrealistic, especially when working on projects without sufficient resources or team support. Overall, the experience felt less about performance and more about internal politics and bias. For a company of this scale, there is significant room for improvement in leadership accountability, fair evaluation practices, and fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
