      Good place to work, temporary status is frustrating

      Pros

      I have great coworkers and scheduling is flexible. I enjoy the people and managers are very understanding and easy to talk to

      Cons

      My temporary status is very frustrating. I obviously get no days off even with a year long contract. Working from home is prohibited, even though it would be easy to do.

      Pros

      Many growth opportunities due to constantly evolving management system. Lonza is in a unique position in biotech with lots of contract opportunities, so job security is high.

      Cons

      Company is becoming very top heavy. Very cold and mechanical toward the lower ranks (manufacturing). High amount of focus on lean manufacturing with little consideration for realistic scheduling requirements.

      Pros

      Benefits are great, work is fast-paced and interesting, most people are great to work with and highly competent.

      Cons

      Many repetitive changes in top senior and site leadership. Runs very lean, so the workload can be overwhelming and lead to poor work/life balance. Culture has recently gone away from valuing talent.
