Pros

Lots of different departments within the hospital, so there’s most likely something for someone, It’s also a teaching hospital so you get to interact with health care professionals from different levels of their hierarchy. Patients are mostly great & appreciative of the care you provide. You also get to see a wide range of complex disorders/diagnoses, have access to different types of trainings/classes, and overall get really great bedside experience.

Cons

Not much space to grow financially as a staff nurse unless you eventually go into management or become an NP/educator.
