Hello and thank you for your comments! We regret the impact this has had on you. Due to business needs, we will no longer be operating in Irwindale. Some of those roles have been relocated to our downtown plant facility. We encourage you to connect with your HR Representative if you’d be interested in any available roles there.

Pros

There is a lot of opportunity and the majority of the staff is very helpful.

Cons

The best employees get overworked and take on the majority of the work, while there are a lot of senior level VPs and Directors that don't seem like they do much.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We agree that there’s a lot of opportunity at our company and we continue working to create an environment and process for supporting each employee’s career development. As part of that, we are rolling out a feature that will help managers by soliciting feedback from direct reports and other colleagues and also training to encourage them to communicate more about what they do on a day-to-day basis. We appreciate everything you do for us and look forward to working hard to make California Times the best place possible to work and build a career.

Pros

Work life balance is great.

Cons

Dying industry, old management style and old ways to do things. Not enough innovation.

We appreciate you taking the time to post a review. While the print advertising and circulation business may have peaked, we believe that there will always be a need for fact-based news. The company has invested in technology, staff and infrastructure and built a completely new website and app, as we understand that digital subscriptions is an important part of the business. We agree that innovation is important and seek to encourage it throughout the organization.
