Pros
Employees are typically given general direction, then left to perform tasks with minimal supervision. Salaries are competitive with or above those at other retailers. Benefits are substantially better than those offered by most other retailers, particularly 401k and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
Cons
Presently, there is excessive emphasis on cost cutting. Staffing levels have been lowered to the point where customer satisfaction is affected. Of course, the stores are still topheavy with store management.
