Pros

Outstanding benefits Good hardworking sales personal Good working experience in retail Opportunity to grow, if your lucky Opportunity to get bonuses

Cons

The store management are total idiots. Because of incompetence, you will not get a bonus until the foreseeable future. The sales specialists are treated like crap and used for everything but selling. Training consists of sitting in front of a computer screen taking pointless tests and expected to know everything. There is no working flexibility, and you are micromanaged and treated like a third grader. Sneeze wrong and you will be fired! Overall the company is strong, but if your looking to work at Lowe's, don't work in Columbia SC!

Pros

good pay good discount decent hours for retail good assistant/ store managers.....for now.

Cons

The company seems like it is lost, the communication is not good. the expectations of their new vision are unrealistic and will not happen and they know it. Associates are so scared about the layoffs they don't act. They are losing good people quickly, without caring. When the economy picks up, they will lose alot of talent making it harder to work in the stores.

Pros

The benefits are good. Lowe's has some of the best insurance for full-time and part-time positions. Their vision is about the best you can get.

Cons

Lowe's has fallen hard. I've worked there for seven years. My full-time position was terminated and my hours cut down to an average of 16 a week. Applied for multiple positions, but they are given to favorites. My seven years of service means nothing to our new management team. They bring in new people and pay them much more than me. It is insulting.
