Pros

There are remarkable people who work for this agency, those who talents and dedication to the hospice movement are to be commended.

Cons

Complete lack of appreciation for a job well done. Management asks for ideas and they are never acknowledged or considered. Unfortunately the organization lacks any natural born leaders. As a result, these deficits are masked by a feeling of superiority which is a big turnoff. I have been there many years and have never held any conversation with upper management. Funny thing, this organization believes that the higher you go, the fewer hours you have to work. Leadership waltzes in when they want, leave when they want and consider this a privilege of a "salaried" employee. The real workers are the hourly employees who punch a clock and witness everyday the inadequacies of the higher ups and the real contributors. Despite the noble cause, it is difficult to stomach the complete lack of interest, compassion, work ethic, and inspiration from the Leadership team. Really, it is a joke and no secret in the community.

Pros

Trasitioning patients and their loved ones toward end of life and providing quality of life for the time they have left.

Cons

Long hours. Poor quality male director. Poor role model of our male director. He is lazy and only interested in placating upper adminiatration. Does not listen to casemanagers and msws. Top heavy administration. CMs need to work an 8 hour day not 12 to 15hours. Lots of staff dissatisfaction at this time.

Pros

Coworkers are always willing to help out with the workload and answer questions and you don't know the answer. The RNs social workers and chaplains usually work together as a team

Cons

They are not giving raises anymore. And the benefits are not nearly as good as they were. They hire you for a position then send you to do another job title if the census falls
