      Startup without the traditional startup feel

      Pros

      Small company with an open work floor means you get to know people fairly well, and project-planning drives workload, so time commitments can be flexible. It also means that you tend to take on work when it needs doing because it's unlikely it's already assigned to someone else.

      Cons

      Work tends to stay very departmentalized, so while some groups may be doing almost nothing, others are working nonstop.

      Pros

      Amazing automotive talent all around and vision for the product. The entire company is very focused on technical excellence and extremely passionate about what is being built here.

      Cons

      Some people, in general, just do not have the mentality to put 110% into their work. If you're that person this is probably not the right place for you. Coming from the Midwest, I am still not sure how competitive the compensation is for the area.

      Great ideas but no leadership or money

      Pros

      Lot's of very smart people and great technology. Salary okay and stock option good (it it is ever worth anything!)

      Cons

      No money to get things done and long hours that end up in nothing productive. With no real leadership no-one is going to invest in Atieva's future no matter how many investors you parade through the HQ site. Also,the closed door meeting in Chinese are not respectful to those of us that do not speak Chinese. Hong Kong techniques will not work in Silicon Valley.
