      Typical startup with atypical employees

      Pros

      The CEO isn't a scum bucket like so many other startups. The CTO is brilliant. The bar for hiring employees is extremely high, so every employee is intelligent, hard-working, and contributes to the value of the company. We are already profitable, so your stock is immediately valuable.

      Cons

      The environment is too open - no cubicles or offices - so the sound propagates more than I would prefer. Easily solved by headphones.

      Pros

      This has been a very enjoyable place to work. I am amazed at how fast productive work happens. The politics of big business simply do not apply. I know that my opinion matters. The culture is very focused on personal growth and encourages ideas / opinions to be shared. On top of that, there are regular company wide foosball tournaments, pizza Fridays are also awesome!

      Cons

      Sometimes there is "after hours" work required. It is rare and not nearly as bad as other places that I have worked though.

      Pros

      There is an intense focus on hiring really bright people in every part of the business (engineering, product, business) and it makes all the difference. Though everyone is really bright, they are also a fun and collaborative group. The products are also top-notch and the company is intent on pushing the boundaries, so there's no shying away from tough technical or business challenges.

      Cons

      The company is growing fast and there still aren't a lot of processes in place. This makes it easy for employees to innovate and to take ownership, but it does not fit everyone's personality.
