Pros

If you are at a location that still hosts leagues the environment on those nights is great. Consistent weekly customers you can build a great relationship with.

Cons

Events booked through the sales department screw over servers and bartenders. There is an 18% service charge attached to any party which you are not allowed to tell guests where is actually goes- commission for the sales person, the facility, and then lastly a tiny portion to the people actually taking care of the event. When guests see 18% they assume that is gratuity and it is not. Served a $5,000 event and ended up receiving about $65 as the portion that was allocated to my position.
