Pros

People are extremely knowledgeable about the subject field Broad range of experts, spanning different disciplines However, any pros are slowly being stripped away - any decision the company makes seems to be to unsettle employees

Cons

The site offers absolutely nothing to employees - no social or on-site benefits. The site is dreary, outdated, and has limited escape opportunities from work. It is an extremely depressing place and genuinely just drains everything from you. There are zero initiatives that care about retention or satisfaction of employees. Benefits have actually been stripped back (free coffee, wfh) despite company success. Anything to cut costs. All feels like a sunk cost fallacy as experienced people are pushed out by just how horrible it is. There is no escape from work, no initiatives to encourage any sort of employee engagement or satisfaction. No social events. The company only cares about profits, completely overlooking and taking for granted the employees that work hard for them. Sometimes feels like they are making things unbearable on purpose to force people out - it's hard to imagine another explanation. It is one of the most depressing and infuriating places you could experience. No flexible working. Constant decision changes from upper management, expecting everyone to adjust immediately and meet near impossible deadlines - not helped by them adding consistent roadblocks and painful admin DIB initiatives are forced upon employees to push and organise with little interest from those more senior and no compensation for you putting in significant extra work. Results in nothing happening. CEO is far more interested in stock price over employee satisfaction and retention No emphasis on career development or progression. Employee development and progression is completely overlooked. There is so much expertise within the company but no support system whatsoever to train up newer employees and upskill - you are pigeon holed into your role and offered no opportunity to try other disciplines, try new tasks that could improve experience or shadow experts. No progression - any promotions seem to be based on time served rather than achievement. Higher roles are essentially blocked until people leave or retire Devices for AI applications are far less complex - outlook of the work is far less interesting and more repetitive Would strongly recommend to avoid, especially for younger people
