Pros
--------------Quality, DIB and Work-life balance focus----------------
1. Upon company profitability, They gives all employees CIP(Cash Incentive plan) every 2 quarters. It is not a small amount. By year-end, it is similar to having extra 2-3 months of salary. In the past 5 years, I enjoy this precious bonus.
2. They highly focuses on DIB (Diversity inclusion and belonging) and continuously balance all races, ages, and gender. In terms of employment, if you are a minority, people of color, or a woman you have a high chance to get the offer.
3. They conduct a Glint survey twice a year to get input from all levels of employees. They read all your comments/scores and take them seriously. By my observation, the survey result turned into action!
4. They focuses on quality, they conduct Kaizen events often to address some process issues or to improve things. Kaizen was introduced 5 years back and It has become Lumentum DNA.
Cons
1. Working in the office is not mandatory, this is a good fit for a lot of employees who preferred to work from home (but come to the office once in a while). This is not for me as I like to work in the office which is better for in-person coordination and communication.
2. If you are a manager who is located in the US and if you have your team in Europe and APAC. You may require a high effort to balance your work life because you will meet them at night or early morning.
