Pros

Nice employees, people work hard, close to home, good parking.

Cons

No confidence in management and executive leaders. Everyone who has been here a long time will tell you that it used to be a really great place to work, but it's going downhill. Leaders just want to pat themselves on the back and they forget about the people who are actually making things happen.

AAMC is fortunate to be in a phase of growth with the addition of the McNew Family Medical Center, Cardiac Surgery and the partnership with Doctor's Community Hospital, to form a new healthcare system in Maryland. With these changes there will be additional staff to support our growth. We know our employees are our greatest asset and it takes our employees and leaders to keep us moving forward.

I absolutely love working with Nancy my direct supervisor. She is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. When she doesn't know the answer she finds it for you, or gets you in contact with who you need to be in order to get results. She is helpful with advancement and discussing my goals and how we should take which steps in order to get there. Nancy has been the highlight for me with management in this organization and really made me feel welcomed. This has been a wonderful entry level management position to learn and grow.

Cons

The best piece of advice I have for potential employees is to really read and make sure you understand the benefits. The PTO/ CLB, the Insurance premiums and copays. It is different under the Hospital and Under the Medical Group .... for some it truly will matter be sure to know what you are signing up for.
