Good and bad, and very Danish

Pros

Intelligent coworkers, good exposure to variety of aspects of the work.

Cons

Work life balance is a big issue lately. Lundbeck is Danish which means decision making by consensus. Extremely process oriented and process heavy. Lots of discussions, countless meetings, including people who don't really benefit from participating or have the expertise to contribute. You can spend the whole day in discussions, with little time to get work done. Since this is such a prevailing issue, a lot of the actual project work is done in a hurry, with little thinking behind it, or by outside consultants who my or may not do a good job. If you like to discuss and present information, this is the ideal place. If you prefer to do things well and in depth, this is not a good company for you. Also, new alliances make things twice as difficult, with lots of meetings and TCs and alignment discussions, sometimes fruitful, often burdensome.

Pros

Small company so you get to know everyone Buy in products when pipeline is weak If things aren't working out, money is thrown at the problem.

Cons

Culture is terrible! Lots of sniping and backbiting. Metrics not sales driven Very few products - not all doing well - real concerns about viability long term. Not much in the pipeline Lots of talk about team work but no actual team work More contract staff than Lundbeck staff
