Pros

Looking back at when I opened the store, great atmosphere, excitement and full on support from management was received. Full informative training days were an absolute blast. Great ethics, London living wage & 50% discount.

Cons

- Constant changes in management have caused communication problems. Stop hiring incompetent supervisors who end up leaving after a short while! Poor communication among staff members, things that should be included in weekly newsletters are always missed out. New recruits are working with no prior training dropping the standards. It's just not a great vibe anymore. Some managers are very patronising (e.g. Someone who's name starts with H) and recent cash discrepancies have created a culture of distrust and have generally been making staff's lives miserable.. For example we have to stay behind after our shift has ended just because the cash team haven't taken us off tills on time. Also, we throw away ridiculous amounts of bath products everyday, and staff aren't allowed to take them home like we use to be able to.

Pros

Fantastic ethical outlook, great 50% discount, can be fun, interesting interactive environment. Daily positive customer interactions, high pay, entertaining, a unique experience.

Cons

Disorganised management, lack of respect and voice for SAs, pushy customer service approach, mentally draining, no 'off' days (always required to be 100% upbeat), cliquey, severe lack of communication amongst management, favouritism, huge waste of product daily at back-of-house, deafening music (can't hear self or customers), severe lack of positive reinforcement for hardworking SAs, lack of incentive, incentives removed (including full external 'fun' training days), bullying by supervisors, pressure, SAs treated like children, SAs not supported by management even when filing complaint or asking for help, lack of security (!) and more. As another recent reviewer has said, a lot has changed recently for the worse and management is terrible.
