Pros

Very wide range of tasks, high level of turbulence and ever changing environment. Exelent oportunity for professional development. Good working atmosphere. Interesting and challanging projects.

Cons

There are not much of cons against pros. high level of turbulence and ever changing environment, but once again this is more likely pros to one who loves to take chalenge and grow his/her strenght and skills under pressure.

Pros

Salary is a bit higher than average. Compensation is good, you can insure your family members. Flexible schedule, you can arrange your time as you wish. Office is new and clean, operations dept. hears people's needs and really tries to fix problems. Developers are fine. Although it's not that easy to find really interesting people here, hostility is uncommon. There is an "internal mobility" program which is intended to facilitate in finding a new place for you inside the company, in many cases that works. Luxoft has many offices so you can relocate if you wish.

Cons

Everything depends on the project you get into, some of them are interesting and innovative, others are boring and comprise tedious maintenance and testing only. Company tends to hire people to the projects which are still on the paper and then it just doesn't know what to do with them if those projects turn out stillborn. Working in outsourcing company means that you can be fired at any time as soon as stakeholder realizes that he doesn't need the project anymore. However, now it happens not that often. Things get worse in tough times when an entire division can disappear at once. As I've already mentioned, everything depends on the customer. If you are lucky and your customer is a good person, then everything shines, otherwise you can be pressed and even fired. Luxoft always stands on the customer's side and will do everything to satisfy him even if it means firing several stubborn developers. Management is mediocre as it is nearly everywhere. Being managers, they like numbers so they check if you stay for at least 8 hours in the office but it doesn't matter how you spend your day. At the same time, they try to do nothing, just send monthly reports to the high management and that's it. If you are ready to lick asses and exhibit motivation, you will be eventually promoted and join their family. I know a boy who had entered Luxoft as a tester and was promoted to the project manager in a year or so.
