Pros

Independent. Make your own schedule.

Cons

Company could care less about you. They are focused on automating everything for the future (driverless vehicles). -Rentals are too expensive -Not enough bonuses -When bonuses are available you must be in city -Can only make money in city (no incentives for suburbs -Extremely unsafe environments (throughout Chicago). As a consequence you are risking your life without due compensation -Not enough rides in mornings-afternoons (must drive at night - dangerous as Chicago's leadership could care less about your safety as minimal law enforcement on roads). Put simply, Lyft doesn't pay their drivers enough. You end up receiving 35-40% of a ride. Thus, the passenger is paying too much and you're not getting enough for everything YOU DO for the COMPANY. Make sense?
