Pros

The pay is good and even better when you work lots and lots of overtime. There have been some great leaders in this company with progressive ideas and open doors. However,

Cons

The talented management has been pushed aside for the "yes" guys and the morale of the company has nose-dived. HR is non-existent, Senior Management makes empty promises and the majority of the employees are scratching their heads wondering where it's all going.... Middle Management is moved every two years to advance their careers leaving the lower ranks having to prove themselves over and over. These guys are trying to Micromanage when they don't have a clue about the processes. There are a lot of comments here from Engineers and other work groups but not many from the Technicians who are really driving the bus.

Pros

there are still some talent here that you cannot find elsewhere, so still a good learning base in the beginning. First 3 years is good here, then there are probably better opportunities in terms of career growth and quality work. The trick is to manage your own career and positioning on work and projects. There are alot of opportunities to do this with the current market and project funding going into the company. Pay is very good. Pension is OK. Bonuses are awesome. The CEO has successfully eliminated 9/80 schedule from some parts of the company, but they gave it back to parts where loss of talent was beyond what they were hoping for. So, ask about alternative work schedule specific to location where you are planning to seek a position.

Cons

Much of the experienced talent has moved on to other companies where it is more competitive in regard to employee oriented policies. There is lot of work that is really not valued in most other parts of this industry. So try and avoid the 'hype' flavor of the year upper management driven 'initiatives', or you may be 5 years down the road with nothing to talk about in your next interview. The vision is short ranged depite what is said. There is strong talk of safety, but some of the actions with contradict ll the way to the top. Moral is hit or miss, but has definately declined. The employee retention is very bad, and positions stay open for a while. The upper management has a bully mentality. CEO is trying to implement some senior level engineering overseas India.
