LYB operates as an extremely lean organization which means you will be pressed to work OT. It also means you would often be doing the workload of at least 2-3 Full Time employees. Much of upper management have been active employees since there teenage years and they have adopted heavily recruiting college students which they can work abuse. These overworked college grads receive very low pay in comparison to workloads allocated. There is a high burnout culture and extremely low employee morale. Most stay workers are extremely miserable but stay due to "hopes" of a better future. For many, a promotion only equates to a 1-3% salary increase (less than $5k). LYB requires in office work and historically micromanages desks.

Some managers are hard to work with, can be very political in the headquarters in Houston, short term mindsets of upper management can be hard to navigate, DEI initiatives are more exclusionary than inclusive
