MAA is a great REIT; it was a pleasure learning how they operate. I worked there from 2016 to 2021 and enjoyed it very much. I will never forget how MAA treated me; I have made some lifelong connections. They have a winning attitude when making money and ensure they do anything they can to improve their profits. They sincerely care about ensuring their employees understand their values and go out of their way to ensure that everyone learns them. When it comes to residents, MAA goes out of its way to ensure they follow the lease to the letter to avoid violating “fair housing.” Whether breaking your lease early, management issues, damage to your apartment, or any other issues, they ensure that the resident knows they are responsible. MAA does not guarantee your safety or that your property will not be damaged, this is part of fair housing. They sincerely care about making sure everyone follows the lease, no matter what the issue may be. MAA also employs some of the most ethical and talented people I have ever met! They ensure they always do the right thing for the company, no matter the cost. Kudos, MAA, and keep up the great stuff!
