Pros

First of all the main office for all corporate activity as well as all Danish North Sea activity is located in Copenhagen. From a life/work point of view working in the heart of Copenhagen with easy access to pretty much everything is a huge plus. You have the full range of the petrophysical discipline presented here, from heavy modelling to operational work to core analysis work. Also you are given, at least in most units, almost full autonomy as long as you reach your deadlines.

Cons

From a local point of view the pay is quite a bit lower than average indutry salaries and expat posistions are quite limited. Unfortunatly management has imbraced, fully with no sorting, the PMP and everything that encompasses, meaning work is slowing down quite a bit.

Pros

Maersk has a very international platform which provides employees a chance to get oversea's working experience. It also encourages open discussion and straightforwardness.

Cons

Organization changes are too frequent. On average if one person stay in one job for more than two years then there's a chance that he/she will experience organization change - office move, department reorganization, job change, etc
