Pros
Fast-growing company, world-wide locations provide opportunity for a variety of basing locations. Able to home base at your desired locations and travel to work for overseas contracts.
Cons
Mid to upper level management is very disconnected from on-site management. Very little flexibility in scheduling. 60 day overseas rotations, with 60 days "off" at your home location, but required training for pilots during your "off" period may take up 30-40 days of your time off. Management deals with reports of problems by firing or transferring personnel, there is no formal or informal process to protect employees since hiring contracts are "at will" and subject to termination at any time for any (or no) reason. An excellent manager was fired when someone made unfounded charges about intimidation when manager was in fact doing his job and holding people accountable for their actions. Similar situation occurred with two pilots in consecutive months. No company communication is ever released to inform others, the company lawyers threaten to sue former employees. MAG has rapidly expanded ISR operations in the past several months and bought out Avenge, and several programs are foundering due to management/leadership issues and pilot shortages. Lots of short-term fixes and personnel movements have been made without regard for long-term implications.
