Pros

The best part about the culture here is the leadership's trust in its employees. I've been given the freedom and autonomy to identify areas for improvement and actually run with my ideas. Instead of being bogged down by red tape, my manager encourages innovation and supports me in implementing changes that have a tangible, positive effect on our team's performance. It's incredibly rewarding to see your work directly lead to better results.

Cons

The flip side of having so much freedom is that it requires a lot of self-motivation and personal accountability. This isn't a place where you can just coast; you are expected to take initiative, which is great but might not be for everyone.

ManTech Really is the Best Place to Work!

Great salary and benefits. Warm yet professional community of thought leaders in the industry. Fun social events, neat swag, involved in the community.

Cons

Acquired by Carlyle Group, which earlier acquired a majority stake in BAH. That seemed risky at first but Carlyle made it work and today BAH is thriving. As for ManTech, there have been a series of organizational shake-ups and continuing waves of layoffs that reflect the harsh reality of the current contracting climate. I believe we can weather this storm. Whether you're a prospective new hire, a prospective returning "boomerang", or still reeling from a layoff, please don't give up hope. Keep checking the Careers page and apply. Stay in touch with current/former colleagues and connect with them. Be open-minded, gracious, and professional, and don't be afraid to reinvent yourself in a whole new line of work if that's what it takes! This strategy has worked for me!
