Pros

ManTech pays an above average salary for many positions. Some jobs offer telecommuting. Once laid off, you are considered an "associate" so that you may apply for other jobs since you are already in the system.

Cons

Lack of transparency among leadership. Folks worked 14 hour days for many months to stand up a project and were laid off on a Friday at 4:30 pm with computer access being blocked that same evening. Many were told their services were no longer needed. They were told the contract would be for 2 years but once the ground work was laid by doing the hard work, they transitioned lower level people into roles to maintain the work. For some, the work lasted 8 months. They were really good, hard working people.

Pros

I liked the fact that I was given minimal supervision in what I was doing, and the other contractors I interacted with were friendly.

Cons

Where do I start? Could never get management to make a decision. The ability of their supervisors to plan was mediocre. There is no room for growth and they do not track performance so that you can prove that you are invaluable to them. I will never work for them again and I will advise others to stay away. Not a great company to work for if you care about quality.

Pros

Good company to work for with support from upper management. Offer good benefits and decent compensation.

Cons

Like any other consulting company you are expected to put in 50+ hours a week. I was hired as a cyber program manager and had a difficult client. I never saw the home office the entire time I worked for the company. Once my contract was completed I got VERY little help securing a new position within the company to relocate. I was laid off on the same day the contract ended and did not even get a 2 week grace period to find new work.
